Artist Bio

Jacquline S. Anderson was born in Athens, Greece, her father a Marine, giving over 25 years of service, her mother was an artist. Jacquline’s growth and development as an artist from the beginning was influenced in a ‘Solider – Savant’ atmosphere which greatly influenced her versatility and tenacity as an artist, ‘adapt and over‐ come’. As a student of art Jacquline has been working and selling for 25 years. The accumulation of her studies was receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Art History and Criticism from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Alongside her career as an artist she took time to have and raise a family, two sons Joshua and Bryan, including volunteering and working in the community surrounding San Antonio and Central Texas. She has experienced debilitating medical issues starting early in her career, where she has had to pause and focus with effort to get healthy then press on back into her love of art. These side streets on her journey has never deterred her desire only given her a unique perspective which she expresses throughout her art work.

Jacquline’s career has been diverse working in commercial art, marketing, teaching and exhibitions, working in the central Texas region as an artist, volunteering and curator. Her exhibitions include paintings, drawings, photography, print and mixed media recently participating in several solo and various artist show at San Antonio’s Southtown Blue Star Gallery ‘First Friday’, ‘Art n the Hood’ and the ‘Arts n Eats’.  At Art Pace she assisted in installing visiting artists as well as the ‘Chalk it up’ Festival several times. Some of her notable experiences were being George Yepes Studio Assistant, installing and co‐curator exhibitions at Hotel Valencia, Downtown San Antonio including a consultant to Trinity University in San Antonio ‘Attic Rep’ Theatre Production.
